Harry Kane left Jamie Carragher red-faced on Tuesday after exposing his lies in a light-hearted post-match interview following Bayern Munich's win over Lazio. <br/><br/>The England captain scored twice in the Champions League last-16 second leg as Bayern overturned a 1-0 first-leg defeat to progress to the quarter-finals 3-1 on aggregate. <br/><br/>The former Liverpool man had said before the game that he had spoken to Kane to inspire him to victory in the last-16 of the Champions League, but that was quickly denied by Kane.<br/><br/>CBS Sports presenter Kate Abdo started the post-match interview by addressing Kane. 'Before we do anything, I think we should clear up, because Jamie said earlier on in the pre-game, that he called you and spoke to you this week. Is that true or false?'<br/><br/>'That is false', Kane replied, causing hysterical laughter from Carragher in the studio.<br/><br/>Carragher responded: 'H, don't do this to me! I'm telling everyone in America that we're friends, we've got a great relationship. I can't believe you've just done that to me!'<br/><br/>The Bayern star said: 'We are friends, but I'm not going to lie on national TV.' <br/><br/>Carragher declared they were 'Twitter friends', which led Abdo to claim 'that's not friends'. <br/><br/>He went on to explain that he backed Kane to do the business against Lazio, even if their conversation wasn't 'the full truth or the whole truth', as they had exchanged messages '12 months ago'. <br/><br/>Kane laughed and said: 'Yeah, we did indeed. I appreciate it though.' <br/><br/>They later continued their discussion on X (formerly Twitter), with the former Tottenham talisman writing: 'Sorry @Carra23 the truth will always come out', alongside tears of joy emojis.<br/><br/>Carragher replied: 'Apologies Harry, I was trying to impress my American viewers', along with his own sequence of laughing crying emoticons. <br/><br/>After the game, Kane said the result'change the season' after falling 11 points adrift over Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen.<br/><br/>'It's a perfect evening for us. It was a big game,' he told CBS Sports. 'We were 1-0 down in the first leg. A big moment in our season. It was a top performance.<br/><br/>'Of course we know we have to improve, but nights like this can really change the season. I'm really proud of the boys and we just have to keep this momentum going.'<br/><br/>Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel played down the comfortable win, saying it 'looked easier than it was'. <br/><br/>'We managed to be focused and disciplined over 90 minutes,' he said. 'We didn't do any crazy things either, we waited until the gaps opened up and had a better understanding of when to ­accelerate and when to take risks.
