_dog-with-no-eyes-still-homeless-despite-70000-people-viewing-viral-video-appeal.webp "A blind dog that captured the hearts of animal lovers when a cute video of him went viral is searching for a forever home.<br/><br/>Three-year-old Benedict lost his sight when he developed an infection and vets had no choice but to remove his eyes to save his life.<br/><br/>The adorable German Shepherd is now being cared for by Immingham Dogs Home in north east Lincolnshire.<br/><br/>Centre owner Kelly Magee posted a heartwarming video of Benedict on Facebook showing him jumping up and hugging her.<br/><br/>Despite racking up more than 70,000 views, Kelly says the charity has not received a single application to adopt Benedict.<br/><br/>He is currently staying with a temporary foster family but Kelly and her team are desperate to find him a forever home.<br/><br/>Mum-of-two Kelly, 46, said: “He’s only been with us since November and he went into foster care in January. <br/><br/>“We thought within three months he would be adopted but he hasn’t been. <br/><br/>“I think it’s because how often do you see a dog with no eyes. <br/><br/>“There’s blind dogs all over the place, but I guess it’s very unusual to see them without <br/>eyes.<br/><br/>“As a dog, he’s just a very normal dog. <br/><br/>“He’s had his eyes removed as there was so much pressure on them, pushing them out of his head. <br/><br/>“He had an infection and the pressure was building. They removed one and then the pressure was too much for the other.<br/><br/>“It was just a year-and-a-half ago that he had the operation.”<br/><br/>Since losing his sight, Benedict has learned to follow people’s voices or a bell which helpers ring to guide him.<br/><br/>Kelly, who cares for 36 dogs at the centre, added: “It’s very sad that he hasn’t been adopted yet. <br/><br/>“He deserves a home and has done so well with adapting.<br/><br/>\")

_farmer-makes-36100k-a-year-showing-off-his-pet-quails-sporting-customised-tiny-hats.webp "Meet the farmer making $100k-a-year showing off his pet quail online - posing them in customised miniature hats.<br/><br/>Bernard Henry, 30 regularly posts videos on TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube of his Mearns quail, Finn, sporting one of his 100 personalised bonnets. <br/><br/>With 1.6million followers on TikTok, Bernard earns $100k annually via the creator fund - where creators are paid depending on how many people interact with their content.<br/><br/>The flower farmer purchases tiny hats for Finn to wear from a woman on Etsy, who brings Bernard’s creative visions to life. <br/><br/>Finn also receives 10 to 20 hats a month from his fans and Bernard’s favourite is a full Sherlock Holmes outfit one follower handmade. <br/><br/>Bernard loves spending time with the pets and dresses Finn up in cute hats – such as a jester hat and a flat cap.<br/><br/>Bernard, a flower farmer, from New Milford, Connecticut, US, said: “None of the other animals enjoy wearing hats but Belle - who is a California quail - likes to wear sunglasses.<br/><br/>“I wanted to make the farm open to the public for Easter because the tulips look amazing but sadly I’ve been too busy. <br/><br/>“I love all my birds and some of them I’ve had for 14 years.<br/><br/>“My grandparents had a farm and my parents always had birds in the house so it's normal to me.”<br/><br/>Bernard - who lives with his husband, Michael Cefalu, 30 and 200 birds - is now gearing up for Easter.<br/><br/>He said: “I love it.<br/><br/>“I used to be glued to my desk for medical school and miserable.”<br/><br/>Bernard spends five hours a day with the birds and loves to try out different themed hats on Finn – such as a cap and beret.<br/><br/>He said: “He loves wearing the hats.<br/><br/>“I want to get him and my other bird, Daisy, a little tux and wedding gown after they mate.”<br/><br/>Bernard and Michael have been married for a year-and-a-half, but together for more than a decade. <br/><br/>“Michael’s more of a dog person, but I tell him it's either the quail or the highway,\")
